Campfire

A shared experience in the dark

Campfire is a performance in the dark exploring possibilities for alternative social encounters. The performance is a result of practical and artistic research and moves between a sonic journey, a solo piece and a collective-participatory experience. Campfire attempts to underline the communal and convivial and undermine the isolating quality of being wrapped in/by darkness, asking what does it mean to be together in the dark and how else might we interact with each other?

Devised and performed by: Yaron Shyldkrot

Music: James Edward Armstrong

Special thanks to Ivy Arts Centre, Lisa Savini,RL/P and Eleanor Fogg.
